When running the ADC read code, there is no output to the terminal. Given the code stops if the SPI bus fails to open, I believe this to be the issue. I have enabled SPI in using the device tree paramters of the Pi as follows:

dtparam=i2c=on,i2s=on,spi=on

This doesn't have any effect. What needs to be done to correctly read the voltage and output it?

Update: manually enabled the SPI interface using the sudo raspi-config command
