Hello all,

I would like to use the the ADC DAC Pi Zero with my Arduino Uno. Is this possible?

On the ADC DAC Pi Zero Board pads tagged with "SCK", "MISO" and "MOSI", can I use these to directly communicate with the ADC and DAC per SPI?

Best regards,

Baddel

Hello Baddel

You can use the ADC DAC Pi Zero with an Arduino Uno. As well as connecting the SCK, MISO and MOSI pins to the Arduino you will also need to connect the GND pin and 3.3V pin. Uno boards work at 5V so you will need to connect the 3.3V on the ADC DAC Pi to the 5V pin on the Arduino which will mean the ADC will have a range of 0 to 5V instead of the usual 0 to 3.3V and the DAC will have a maximum output of 4.096V when the gain is set to 2.

If you want the ADC DAC Pi Zero to work at 3.3V we do make an adapter for connecting our Raspberry Pi boards to the Arduino Uno, you can find it at https://www.abelectronics.co.uk/p/66/arduino-uno-to-raspberry-pi-adapter

We also have an Arduino library for the ADC DAC Pi Zero, you can find it at https://github.com/abelectronicsuk/ABElectronics_Arduino_Libraries
