IO Pi Plus prevents GPIO2 & GPIO3 from being used for input/output because these pins connect to the i2c level converter. How can I regain input/output control and disable the i2c on these pins? Will the IO Pi Plus board still work?

The I2C pins on GPIO2 and GPIO3 are used by the IO Pi Plus for communication with the IO chips so it is not possible to use the pins as standard IO and use the IO Pi Plus at the same time.
